I got a new PC with a Asus Maximus VI Hero motherboard.
Somethimes the system freezes, its like looking at a screenshot and also the mouse and keyboard are frozen.
Most of the time its just like this without a error message, it stays unresponsive and if I leave it like that for a while, there is no noticable activities from harddisk or fans and temperatures are oke.
The Windows eventlog show no errors or warnings.
Somethimes it crashes with a memory management error, so far this happened 2 times (freezes are way more often).
Its always happening when working, I havent had the issue while the system was just turned on and idle.
Its happening in different applications, like when I render a video project in Powerdirector or when I game, BF4 for example.
I use 2 x 8 GB of G.Skills Trident-X memory. Its 2133MHz memory and it shows correct timming and speed with XMP enabled in the BIOS.
I ran the latest memtest for hours and there are no errors.
Do you guys jknow what the issue can be? can RAM be faulthy even though memtest shows no errors.
And does it matter if the modules are installed into the Red or Black slots?
