Hello to the Rog community!

I have a problem when upgrading to latest bios 1603. The CPU goes only turbo boost in 3.7 instead of 3.9. Only in bios 1402 goes 3.9 as it should be.
I factory reset nothing happened. All set to 3.9 multiplier and all sync cores.
my specs are
I7 4770
Asus maximus vi hero
Asus Strix 970
16gb Kingston hyper x beast 2400hz
850 pro ssd 128
corsair h60
sound blaster z
coolemaster silent pro 600W
windows 8.1 pro
Do anyone knows if this mobo z87 will support 5th generation intel with bios update ?
49090
thanks

Hello chrs1984 and welcome

Try setting the AI overclock tuner to auto then F10 and Enter. This should get your cpu boosting to 3.9GHz.

I had the ram set manually to 2400 now i set it to auto and it is boosting to 3.9 randomly. Also the the ram is set to 1600. Am I loosing performance if it set to 1600?

You want the ram at its rated speed of 2400MHz.

The core speed boosting to 3.9GHz will fluctuate depending on the load. You can make it run constantly at 3.9GHz by setting the windows power plan to high performance.

Thank you nate for your help i tried with 2400 and power plan high perfonmance but it is stack in 3.7 unless i go 1600 hz the ram clock. i think i will roll back to 1402.
