Hi guys,

Wanted to share with everyone the Maximus V Gene bios v1903 with the latest updated modules.

The updated modules are as follows:


  • Intel(R) Rapid Storage Technology - OROM - v14.0.0.2198
  • Intel(R) Rapid Storage Technology - SATA EFI GUID 90C8D394 - v14.0.0.2198


  • Intel(R) SandyBridge/IvyBridge OROM SVGA BIOS Build Number: 2170
  • EFI GOP Driver (IvyBridge) - v3.0.1027
  • EFI GOP Driver (SandyBridge) - v2.0.1024


  • Intel(R) LAN PXE - v1.5.67
  • Intel(R) EFI/FFS Intel UNDI - v6.6.04


  • Microcode Patch Sandy/IvyBridge - 29/1B


  • Intel ME v8.1.52.1496


*Note*:
- Flash the bios firmware via USB BIOS Flashback method only!
- Maximus V Gene bios v1903 and Intel ME v8.1.52.1496 firmware files were tested successfully on my system.
- Please flash to the latest [Intel ME v8.1.52.1496] firmware and install the [Intel ME Driver v11.0.0.1115].

after a few testing days on my very pushed machine i can tell you that it is very stable..well done for that! if you made any update-mod in the future please remember me and tag-quote me to get it!

want ask if anybody knows..i always have this problem..everytime i try save the overclock profile to my usb say's "cant find usb"

edit:solved-tried 1..2..5 diffrent sticks and one of them works 😄

Hi punks, I went through out the topic and could'not find the link to the bios files 😕

Can we still DL those bioses somewhere ?

Plain 1903 bios with February 2018 microcode update for Spectre (Sandybridge D2. Ivybridge 1F):

- Use InSpectre from GRC to check and switch on/off.
- Expect 35-40% performance loss on crystaldiskmark 6.0.0 (4KQ32T1). So random disk read is down.
- Microcode was the only thing touched, the rest is standard modules.
- Flash using USB-Flashback from a Mbr/Fat32 formatted USB-Stick.

Hi all i need some help ....
After formating my pc for the 3rd time in a period of 5 years i needed to go into the bios set up and i canot so i entered the dvd of the manufacture and it will not open plus i canot enter the bios because when windows open keyboard dose not responde any aditional info would be apreciated thank you all
i am runing windows 7 ultimate and have the maximus v gene motherboard .

There's an updated BIOS here with NVMe support.

Also, there's very recently been a mod made to enable resizable bar support for many motherboards and someone has already claimed to get it working for this board! If anyone has a working BIOS please upload.
