I'm interested in loading this on to my MVG for the updated modules, any particular improvements/fixes you are aware of? And what happens if Asus release and updated BIOS can I still load it keeping the updated modules?

Thanks.

Sorry, I don't have the changelog of what are the bug fixes/improvements.

If Asus releases a latest bios and if you flash to that, then I think the modules would follow the Asus's modules.

I've tried many versions but finished with the one from asus download site for M5F. Other version gives me handshake errors. This one is working correctly but I'm still worried because now my driver version is older than the firmware.

I also found out that device manager error and flashing MEI has direct impact on my Matrix 7970 safe mode problem !!! Right now (using asus intel mei version) the GPU is booting correctly with BLUE color and only ends up with green after waking from sleep.

Many people said to have similair issues so flashing MEI / updating drivers can fix it for them !

I'm still not 100% satisfied. Why newer drivers works for You and not for me ?

Could it be that I'm on UEFI mode and Windows 6.1 x64?
FYI, I'm using the Intel MEI Driver v9.5.14.1724 WHQL corrected. The v9.5.15.1730 WHQL does not work for me. I see errors on the event viewer too.

Stil no luck with MEI Firmware 8.1.51.1471 + Intel MEI Drivers v9.5.14.1724 WHQL corrected drivers.

When starting the PC everything is cool, but after waking from sleep the yellow exclamation mark shows. MEinfo then gives me error: "Error 9458: Communication error between application and Intel(R) ME module (FW U
pdate client)

Error 9459: Internal error (Could not determine FW features information)".

In device manager I have 3 errors:

The Intel(R) Management Engine Interface is being reset.
Intel(R) Management Engine Interface driver has failed to perform handshake with the Firmware.
The Intel(R) Management Engine Interface is being disabled.

The error is still there even if I poweroff and on. Please help !

I'm running Windows 8.1 Pro x64 and on the default Windows drivers for MEI (8.1.0.1263), that come with the OS, sleep works fine for me.

Squuiid, what is your intel MEI firmware version ?
I'm now trying 8.1.51.1471 firmware with different driver versions.

The point is that when I'm using firmware from ASUS download site (IntelME81_Updating_Tool_V10001), my Radeon 7970 Matrix P have this "safe mode" issues.
When I'm using the updated (8.1.51.1471) version the safe mode issue is mostly gone but there is a handshake issue and yellow exclamation mark in device manager after waking from sleep ...

Not sure what's better, in both cases I have to turn off hibernation and sleep mode ;/

Is my Intel MEI corrupted or something ??

EDIT: I think I'll try FTK + merefl ... link below:

The link is in HellRider's first post in this thread (first page, first post @ the bottom).

I managed to run FTK tool by CodeRush and I've run merefl command with success.
In this way I've returned to stock ME firmware (from bios 1903).

edit: It still has the same behaviour... I'm using windows installed drivers 8.1.0.1263 because then there is no error in device manager and only sleep mode and cold boot (psu turned off) doesn't work with the gpu.

During the MEI firmware reflash there was a yellow notice "PDR region does not exist" (http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?24150-Intel-MEI-amp-ME-Version-8.1.10.1300-amp-8.1.10.1286-...).

Might want to check out a different version of the intel management engine drivers. They have a 9.5.15.1730 and a 9.5.15.1730 5m. I'm about to try the 5m version to see if it works.

I've been running the updated module posted here and system is extremely unstable, think it has something to do with the way the board communicates with the RAM. Going to try the 5m drivers and see what happens. I've only tried the Intel MEI v9.5.14.1724 WHQL corrected drivers so far.
