Asus Maximus V Formula Problem

Hello,
I have bought this PC on september 2012 and I didn't have a single problem up until only recently, it started in the end of may 2014
Here is the setup specifications:
CPU: Intel Intel Core i5-3570K (o/c: 4.6 Ghz)/
GPU: Gigabyte GTX670OC-2GD SLI(o/c: +110Mhz/+500Mhz)
Motherboard: Asus Maximus V Formula
Memory: Kingston 16GB DDR3-2133
Audio: Creative SB X-Fi Titanium Champion
PSU: Seasonic 860XP 80Plus Platinum 860W
Tower: Tt Armor VO200M1W2N Revo
HDD sys: Crucial M4 256 GB
HDD: opt. 2x300 GB WD VelociRaptor 32mb cache
HDD: opt2. 1 TB WD + 1.5 TB WD + 3 TB WD
Sennheiser HD 598
Logitech G400s
Gigabyte Aivia Osmium
ASUS VG278HR 144 Hz Nvidia 3D vision 2

Everything is running just fine when I manage to turn my computer on, but the problem starts whenever I shut the PC down, and go to sleep, the next morning it just won't start up. It won't boot unless I plug the cable out of the PSU for a few minutes and after plugging the cable back in and reseting the bios setting through the CMOS button it eventually starts, but it didn't used to act like this, I don't know what could be the problem, it doesn't matter wheter I overclock the cpu or not, I tested it, it won't start after the night even if I leave the bios settings to default and I have to do this tedious procedure again.
I have the latest 1903 version of bios
Any help would be highly appreciated, thank you

Ok I just went to RMA the PSU, they told me it will take from 3 to 5 weeks, unbelievable, considering the PSU cost me over 250 euro...
Now I need to buy some reliable PSU, but what brand, I won't buy seasonic anymore, what reliable PSU do you recommend for my setup HiVizMan?

Not sure what brands you have available in Slovakia my friend. For benching I use the Antec range the big 1200W ones. But Enermax have been good for me, as have the 1Kw Bequiet PSU.
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.

We have all kinds of brands available here: Cooler Master, Corsair, Enermax, Eurocase, EVGA, Fortron, FRACTAL DESIGN, OCZ, Seasonic, SilverStone, Zalman
Iam looking for a fully modular PSU of 850 or 860 wattage, like the last one, all of the available enermax PSUs are only semi modular...only the 1350 W one is fully modular but the price is 350 euro, also the antec range PSUs are not avaialble here.

Hello M4to1987, whichever brand of psu you choose make sure it has a single +12 volt rail.

Hi Natel152,
I choose the Seasonic SS-860XP F3, just because there wasn't any other comparable PSU, however I don't know if it has a single 12 volt rail. And why do I need a single 12 volt rail for?

Hello

Yes it is single rail.

Oh okay, I guess, thats good I suppose.

A single+12 volt rail psu is better than a dual rail psu because on a dual rail psu one rail can be over worked while the other can be under worked. Say you have a dual +12v rail 1000 watt psu. That is two 500 watt rails which is essentially two 500 watt psu's and power is split between the two rails. If you have a single +12v rail all the power is supplied from that single 1000 watt 12v rail. You won't have any issues with rails being over/under worked with a single 12v rail psu.

psu's nowadays come in single, dual, quad, five, and six 12v rails. The more rails the more the power is split which can potentially cause problems mainly with multi gpu systems.

Thank you for the explaination. Iam going to get the new PSU in a few hours, I will be back here with the results, when I plug all the cables together again, I really do hope everything will work as it should from now on.
I've got my fingers crossed

Allright I just finished installing the new PSU Seasonic SS-860XP F3 and everything is working as it should, the computer starts without a problem now. Even the keyboard backlight and motherboard backlight turns off when I shut down the computer now, lovely.
Iam a happy chappy again, thanks for the help to Nate152 , Praz and mainly to HiVizMan for the patience and help for troubleshooting to figure out what was the problem.
