ASUS Maximus IV Gene Z not booting Normally

I have been having this problem for awhile now

As I start up my computer, cpu only powers up. my monitor shows no display

and my mouse and keyboard does not lit up.

as i check the LED error light its fix to something..

I need to wait for a few seconds then press restart button, thats the time i notice the error code on LED

on mother board changes then the computer starts.

I have to repeat the whole proces.. Power button>(wait few sec)> press restart button to start my computer

sometimes the cpu scans my hard disk for error..maybe this could damage my hdd.

i tried resetting the cmos change the cmos battery but to no avail..

I have to repeat the same process over and over to boot my pc

Welcome to the ROG forums, ronaldjanr.

Here are a few things you can try. Please do them one at a time.

1. Recheck all your cable connections.
2. Disconnect all USB devices connected.
3. Disconnect your HDDs/SSDs completely.
4. Run Memtest86+ on your RAM when you're successful in posting.
5. Update your BIOS to the latest version.

sir i did tried steps 1 - 4 ..i have also replace the cmos battery as well
ill try the step 5 later when i got home.. as per asus support the latest BIOS would be

22 and 55 are memory error codes. Test the memory for stability or try lowering the memory speed.

not even changing the memory speeds its the default optimize status..i see many having a problem with their ROG mobo LGA 1155 with

regards to error code 55 across the forums and yet to solve the answer..already have tested my memory memtest no errors found..ill just try to

to RMA this mobo very frustrating for an expensive board..not even overcloking anymore just using the optimize default

i used to boot up my cpu to enter o.s by leaving the cpu on for 20 to 40sec to 1 min then press reset button..

then on the led error code started to run different codes thus entering o.s...when i got to o.s i used the pc normally with out any problem..

but do i have to do this step over and over again..sometimes im getting hdd checkups now same on my sdd because it started to

destroyed my hdd last time..good thing wd rma and replace my hdd i dont want to do this all the time as i suspect it can ruin my sdd aswell

.PS. i use my computer normally which means i checked my cpu through prime! and run it with no errors which means my cpu / ram(memtest)

has no problem!..very disappointed ROG mobo user!
