ASUS Matrix 7970 Problems

Hi guys, I have been having gpahics card problems for 6+ months now and I just cant get my 4x monitor setup to work. I origionally purchased a ATI Radeon HD 5870 and had major problems trying to set it up with my monitors. I returned this and purchased ASUS Matrix 7970 and am still having problems. The card has 4x Display Port and 2x DVI-D ports. I have 4x LG 22EA63V monitors, the monitors have VGA, DVI-D and hdmi inputs.

I have 2x monitors connected via DVI-D to DVI-D

and 2x monitors connected via Mini Display port to HDMI adpapter then HDMI to HDMI.

The problem is only 2x monitors will work at a time, I can plug and 2 in at a time in any combination and they work fine. A 3rd or 4th monitor will not display. I have tried using Windows 7 and Windows 8 and the same happens. Even when BIOS is booting there is only 2x monitors on.

Any suggestions?

you need an active display port adapter.



no driver installation needed, buy as many as you can support. plug and play.

and oh yeah, after plugging your other 2 monitors via active display port to DVI adapter (passive won't work, you need to have an active converter, explanation here ).

powerup your pc, go to your windows 7 or 8, open up AMD CCC -> Desktop Management -> Enable any display you see.
also, it is then up to your preference if you'd like to extend your current desktop or join them all up into one big eyefinity group.

Hi guys. I’m new here and I have some problem with one of my graphic card.
My card is matrix hd7970 platinum and the temperature sensor is not working and from here a lot of problem. Can’t control speed fan indifferent what software I use and some errors on my mainboard in crossfire. Any suggestion is something I can do it at home?
