ASUS M2N-E SLI and SSD?

hi so I'm pretty new to the computer world, and was wondering if my old asus gaming pc which I'm currently running AMD Athlon 64 x 3000+ on a M2N-E SLI motherboard with 2 8600gt's is possible to add some kind off ssd? possibly m.2 or some other way to get one fitted on there?

Hello tech noob

That's a pretty old motherboard and supports sata 3GB/s so that is the fastest you will get even with a 6GB/s ssd. I'm doubting an M.2 ssd will work even with a PCIe adapter.
