ASUS Impact Displayport

Hello, I am new to this forum and hope to get some clarification.

I just built an Impact for Desktop/Business use. I am wondering if anyone has used the internal Displayport to drive a 4k/UHD monitor at 60hz?

I am trying to understand, for 2d non gaming work, if the Displayport will drive that resolution and if it works well.

Thank-you

The on-board display adapter, including the displayport, is in the CPU and the Z87 chipset. Intel specs say it will drive 4K display at 25Hz only.

Jeff

Jeff,

The manual states "DisplayPort 1.2 with max resolution of 4096 x 2160 @ 24Hz and 3840 x 2160 @ 60hz".
Do you think that the DisplayPort 3840 x 2160 @60hz is accurate then or not?

Thanks for the response.

Sorry, I meant 24 Hz for 4K. I use 1920x1200 which works fine at 60Hz. That leads me to believe 3840x2160 at 60Hz probably works.

Jeff

Thank-you for your responses. Much appreciated!
