Hi does the asus hyper m.2 x4 adapter work in my free PCIe 2.0 x16 slot?

and would this work to power an PCIe M2 SSD?

Just wondering as this would flipping AWESOME if it could as it would give new life to my PC 😄

Fingers crossed it will work. I'm going to try it just for giggles :D:D
