I built this system around April (2015) and since around the second week of using it I have had a few issues which have gotten worse. The PC would shut down randomly and I would not be able to power it on for some time no matter how many times I reset the bios (using the onboard button and removing the cmos), I would have to wait a while, and if sometimes it did start it would hang at q-code 00. So I thought it was the power supply. RMA for a new one and it works flawlessly for the first week.

After installing the second power supply the issue this time around is that I have to hold down the power button for 30 seconds for the pc to even boot. Sometimes it will post sometimes it wont, when it does not post it stays on at Q-code 00 with cpu led on and it remains at this state till I restart it or it shuts itself down after 5 seconds or so. I wold like to note that when the pc does post it works flawlessly no blue screens nothing, but if I shut down the pc and try to turn it back on I get the same issue.

I have tried reseating cpu several times, my cpu temps are very good idle and under load. The pins on the cpu socket are in perfect condition as i would expect since sometimes the system works and the cpu works 100% when its on and working.

I have flashed to the new BIOS Version 2801 but the porblems existed on both 2801 and 2702.
Since recivieng the new Power supply and over time the system has become hard to start, before it only took a psu on off then hold the power button for a few seconds and it wold post and the q-code numbers would cycle and the pc would post. Now I have to do this method of Holding down power button then pressing it again right after for the system to turn on and post and sometimes fail post with q-code 00 and cpu led on.

I have switched the Ram modules to the black slots and it helped for a few boots but then the same problems came back. I have ran memtest for around 2 hours at 4 passes if I remember correct, not too worried about the memory being faulty.

For the last week it seems like i need to reset the bios or reset the cmos battery for the system to even get to post. Everytime I shut off my pc I have to go through the same process and even then I still sometimes get the same issue of if hanging at 00 with cpu led on.

I have run out of things to troubleshoot and could use a little help, this is not my first system i have built. I have also taken the system apart and reassembled it multiple times to see if maybe something was shorting the motherboard. I have a feeling the issue is between the PSU(similar issues with 2 PSUs) and Motherboard since cpu and all other components work fine when the pc does run.

Thank you for reading and any tips or input. Any help is appreciated.
