Asus GENE V Bios Flash

I recently flashed my BIOS to 1309 and then flashed it back to 1204 because i was having weird sleep issues. However when I flashed it back to 1204 it couldn't load my OS . I had to clear CMOS to get it to load the OS again and finally it worked like a charm. However im concerned that there may be a problem with the board. Is it normal for the BIOS to be unable to detect the OS after a BIOS flash? It only happen after the initial flash and hasn't happened since but my OCD wont let me rest.

PS All of the Ram is good (10 passes of Memtest 86+) and i used the Asus EZ flash tool in the bios to flash the BIOS.

Also something that may be good to know I am also using WIndows 8.

Sorry~~ What is OCD? it's mean?
Now, you can't into the os or detect the os harddisk...
Could you please try to start the quick boot feature (press the F8,when on the POST logo),and choose the harddisk(system) to testing again?

Because after bios 0701 version, will be fixed about windows 8 sleep issue
SO,if this problem still can't solved, please re-into the bios manual and load setup default(hot key F5) again

OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder).

Im pretty sure ive fixed the issue with clearing the CMOS. But im just overly worried that it may happen again. So i was wanting to know if it was normal to have an OS loading issue after an BIOS update.

It is recommended that after each BIOS flash you do a clear CMOS so I am a bit unsure what your perceived OCD problem is. We have that in common by the way. 🙂
