ASUS Crosshair V Formula Boot Problem

Retired
Not applicable
Hi there I am in need of help!!!

So I just recently put my new system together and it will not post and nothing will show up on the screen. The Q-Led that is staying on is the boot-device led.

System Specs
-FX 4100 Bulldozer
-Corsair Vengance 1600 mhz
-GTX 465

I have tried resetting the cmos with the jumpers and the cmos reset button at the back of the I/O pannel.

Note:I saw somwhere that I might have to put a Am3 CPU and update the BIOS or whatever...I installed my friends Phenom II x6 CPU and the same problem... I also installed his HDD in my PC for shits but still nothing PLZ help!! Will give internet points!!!

Ok, as usual, FULL system specifications, please.
if you using RAM that isn't on the supported products list, or 8 gigs and more,
leave only one stick in first slot.
you might have to use your buddys chip, to flash BIOS.
check if you powering board with 8 pin power, and video has sufficient power as well.
if one stick of RAM and Phenom works, update bios, and read trough Raja's RAM setup guide.
if not, well, you might have DOA board, but it's really unlikely.
good luck, keep us posted.
