ASUS Com Service

What does this service (C:\Program Files (x86)\ASUS\AXSP\1.00.16\atkexComSvc.exe) do? I've notice that is seems to have a memory leak. When it starts, it uses only about 7MB of ram, but that slowly increases. After running for about 2 weeks, my was up to 1.9GB.

I presume it came with one of the drivers that I downloaded from the ASUS website, as that's the only ASUS stuff I've installed. What would stop working if I disabled this service?

After years, this is still a fundamentally broken process. It doesn't appear to leak memory, but it does spin the CPU at 100%, blocking the main thread of AISuite3.exe, rendering that application pretty useless. How can we get this fixed? Who do we have to talk to? Calling in to support is a waste of time; it never works, and the people there aren't knowledgeable. What's the process to get working software from Asus?

Probably only buying a new modern mobo.

An M8E isn't modern enough? And shouldn't it work with the version offered on the web page for that board?

I guess not for Asus 😛 I gave up on their support years ago

Right click on the a Command Prompt and click "Run as Administrator." type:
sc stop atkexComSvc
sc delete atkexComSvc

That will stop the service, then delete it, preventing it from running. You'll have to reinstall the program if you want it to run again.

Seriously, 2021, no fix. F* you ASUS?!

First and last ASUS product of mine.

This is a piece of crap software, since the beginning.

I would replace my board ASAP but I put much effort to watercool it, but yeah. Thank you for nothing but taking my money
