I found that getting newer builds through Googling (since Asus site is normally older) and installing them, after 1st initial run of a blue skin it would change to the ROG red skin!

I would like to know if you all installed your os before you tried to load al suite II ?

if you are using windows 7 32 or 64 ?

if it loaded ok or did you have problems loading it.reason I ask I'm trying to figure out why mine want load.

well jhuk I guess you did miss the first question.your answer just told me this was a complete new install of all the part in your signature.and you did a fresh install of the OS.

second question was do you have window 7-32 bit or 64 bit or maybe your using vista or maybe even xp.

third question when you loaded al suite did it install ok or did you have to do something to get it to work? example patch

I tried 1.01.40 on the 16th last month and it did not install. (x64)

What version did you use jhuk?
What is the download location?
Did you just install it or was there a method or hack involved?

The only thing I wanted was lower minimum fan limits and/or warnings.. does it have that?

I have been looking more closely and 1.01.40 has older version of some programs, so maybe just designed for another board.

1) Nothing I said above points to a new install as my primary install is 3+ years old and I simply swapped over hardware because I know how to do it properly!

2) However I did install a temporary (testing) Win 7 on the SSD to mess with some new software as it takes like 5mins to install from a fast USB stick to a SSD and it was on this install that I clean installed AI Suite 1.01.40.

At install and possibly 1st run it was blue then turned red no doubt as it is all the same software but detects your Mobo therefore makes it red if it detects a ROG Mobo (I as assuming).

There was no older version installed and no hack and this was on Win 7-SP1 64bit!

AFAIR I Googled for it and grabbed from a trusted site (example Majorgeeks etc)!

You can sometimes find newer builds of your App's by looking at other Asus Mobo section as Asus are not too good at updating things, that new build was for the non ROG version hence blue!
