1. Asmedia is a independent manufacturer of sata and other storage controllers. They are like LSI and Marvell.
2. It's made for any sata connection.
3. It's the same as #1, but for usb 3.0
4. that would be in a sata with asmedia, but a complete waste of a sata port, as you don't need it. (overkill for a Mouse and Keyboard)

Tnks
Finally
Asmedia SATA 6 Gb/s for Hard disk
SATA 6 Gb/s for DVD writer
Asmedia USB 3 for mouse and keyboard

Is that correct for maximum performance and speed ?

I would use the Intel SATA ports for my OS HDD and data drives. If possible I avoid the Asmedia SATA and disable in BIOS. If I have to use them due to a shortage of Intel SATA ports then I would use them for my BluRay and DVD drives.
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.

http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1155/Maximus_V_GENE/#specifications

in here is written :

These SATA ports (Asmedia) are for data hard drives only.

It means i can only plug HDD in Asmedia SATA and it's impossible to use Asmedia SATA for DVD drive ?
If Asmedia SATA is made only for HDD so it means Asmedia SATA is better than intel SATA for HDD .
Am I correct ?
Anybody can't help ?

yes, only for data. forget the top line.

No, I'm sure you can use optical drives on Asmedia. It's fine for HDDs too, just not for real high-speed SSDs which will be limited by 1x pcie bus this controller is on- as a result, it's capable of 2/3 throughput capacity of the SATA3 standard.

Can anyone check the speed of both HDD and ODD on Asmedia SATA and standard Intel SATA ?

+1

The Asmedia SATA ports on my MVF are next to worthless. I have 3 identical Seagate 2TB SATA3 storage drives (ST32000641AS) on the ASmedia SATA3 controller (one of the main reasons I purchased the MVF was for the 6 SATA3 ports). I thought it would be a great setup moving data between the 3 @ SATA3 speeds - WRONG! If I try to copy more than one file at a time from one drive to the other it always corrupts the MFT. I then have to run chkdsk in admin mode with /f /v to fix and then reboot.

Copying data to and from the intel controller is fine, but copying data back and forth on the ASmedia SATA controller is a joke. I have disabled all of the caching - read and write - and it still bombs out. I hope ASmedia comes out with a better driver, cause it is currently useless. Asus should be ashamed for messing up a good board with that piece of junk.

I had similar issues with a Marvell controller on a previous Gigabyte board. I wish someone would make a decent controller.
