Hi all

Just wondering if anyone has modded the 4804 bios for RIVE with this Raid ROM

http://station-drivers.com/index.php/downloads/Drivers/Intel/Chipsets/Rapid-Storage-Technology-%28RS...

driver here:

http://station-drivers.com/index.php/downloads/Drivers/Intel/Chipsets/Rapid-Storage-Technology-%28RS...

Just ordered a pair of Samsung 840 Pro 256gb drives to replace my aging quad Vertex 2 RAID 0 array and was wondering if there was any benefit to the new 4804 over modded 4702 with RST 13.0.0.1072 Beta's?

thanks

I have already modded the 4804 with the latest everything...(And I know it works because I'm using it right now)

Here's the download link:

@ZAKTAM
I already mentioned this on my other thread... You cant flash modded BIOS with "regular method" or you will get the "Security Verification Failed" error...
Any modded BIOS must be flashed using the BIOS Flashback Method... Here's a link to instructions:
http://event.asus.com/2012/mb/usb_bios_flashback_guide/

Basically, place R4E.CAP on a fat16 or fat32 formatted thumb drive. Insert the thumb drive in the WHITE USB slot. With the computer off.. push and hold the ROG connect button for about 3 seconds until it begins to blink.. then release it..

At that point, the ROG connect LED should start blinking.. and will continue to blink more rapidly until the flash is complete... It should take at least 1 minute... if it stops blinking any sooner than that then it didn't work and you should try it again.

I Try the BIOS Flashback a lot of times with No success....

Thanks BOLTS4BREKFAST 🙂

If you want to flash any ASUS BIOS by using the USB Flahback method, you have to rename the BIOS file according to the ASUS Flashback rules. If you try it with the original BIOS name, you will never succeed.

Off topic, but, I have to ask:

1) in another post I replied attaching the two images made by HWiNFO64 of BIOS 4206 and 4702-attached again here to this post.
2) you will notice the VID's are different and microcode is 70D in one and 710 in the other-both unmodded, xmp profile enabled, CSSA=1.150, VTTD=1.150, C1E disabled, PCIe=Gen 2, turbo on, all else auto.
3) 4207 and 4804 do the same thing for me so I did not redo the 4207 image for 4804
4) the 6 core clock speeds constantly vary in any BIOS newer than 4206 for me-from 3900 down to approx. 1200 MHz and all cores down clock randomly-2 or 3 cores at a time as illustrated in the 4207 image-constantly changing-up/down....ad infinitum, instantaneously. Increasing the CPU voltage to 4206 level does not change this behaviour.
5) simply because we are both running basically the same system, my question is do you have these same anomolies running 4804. Also, are you able to enter the legacy OROM hitting cntrl>I-I am not on anything newer than 4206-have to configure RAID in the UEFI and then reenable CSM.
