5/14/12 UPDATE: After doing some research it appears the adapters listed on eBay from various sellers as having Bluetooth 4.0 capability are false. 168-accessories and others are listing the BCM94313HMGBL as BT 4.0 compatible but the BT chip on this card is BCM2070 (3.0), not BCM20702 (4.0). Small difference to some, but false advertising either way. Also, 65 mbps is the
maximum speed this card supports. For my purposes (mostly bluetooth) this card is acceptable. If you bought one of these cards already please leave some feedback with the sellers indicating their specs are wrong.
5/15/12 UPDATE: More research. It appears the BCM94313HMGB can be both Bluetooth 3.0 and 4.0, depending on the firmware and VID/PID. I have two cards with exactly the same FCCIDs and model numbers on them, everything matches on both cards. So some sellers may have the right cards or a mix of them, but you wouldn't know which was which without installing the card and checking the PID. It's all kind of moot because both operate exactly the same in the Maximus V Gene. So, if this helped anyone, please let me know. Otherwise it's just a bit of OCD

What works:I can confirm the BCM94313HMGB (listed above) works on the Maximus V Gene. I pick up wireless networks and can connect without issue. Speed is not ~300 mbps yet, but tinkering with setttings should get it there (
EDIT: 65-72Mbps is the max speed for BCM4313).
Instructions for compatible Broadcom adapters:Wireless: Uninstall any previous drivers in Device Manager by right-clicking your adapter and selecting Uninstall. Also remove any installed drivers via Programs and Features in Control Panel. RIght-click your adapter again and select Update Driver Software... > Search Automatically for driver software. Windows 7 should immediately install wireless drivers.
Update: There appear to be newer wireless drivers on the web for the 4313, such as
these from HP. They are tested and work fine.
Bluetooth: I didn't have luck with the generic Widcomm drivers, but that may be because I had Intel Bluetooth drivers installed initially. Anyway, download ASUS' P8Z77-V Bluetooth driver here:
http://usa.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1155/P8Z77V_DELUXE/#download It's the big guy ~440 MB. Install and you should be good to go. I connected an HTC Sensation 4G and it installed all profiles correctly. In short, everything works.
