Anyone finding their webcams will not work after OS install?

ROG Maximus VI, 32GB Ram, Asus R9 video 280x,Logitech 920 web cam or MS lifestyle web cam.

Installed device in device manager, removed and reinstalled. So the camera is recognised by the the os, and the drivers apparently are supposed to be working.

In Device manager, there is one unknown device that refuses to install or identify itself. Under Sound, Video and game controllers the driver shows up and is installed correctly.

While working on this I found some references to USB device upgrades on some of the firmware upgrades. I have installed them all. So as to eliminate as much as I can the problem somehow being in the way the USB handles the camera signal.

In the Logitech start up screen a circle with a crossnthrough it appears, indicating the camera is not hooked up this despite the device managers saying it is there.

Anyone have a similar problem?

Further to that, the webcams work fine on other PCs.

In the motherboard's UEFI try setting xHCI to disabled in the USB section.
