Another AI Suite Problem

Howdy all,

I just got my first ASUS product, the Sabertooth Z87. While I remain optimistic, I am getting completely frustrated spending hours on trying to get the AI Suite III working. At every bootup, I get the errors below. For some reason the setup runs on startup. I tried uninstalling the suite and ran the cleaner I got from the ASUS forum. I'm still getting the errors. I also downloaded the latest suite and it fails to even start. Please, help.

TIA,
Wayne

Welcome to the Republic of Gamers forum, waynerdpkrebs.

Open Task Scheduler. Look for a task that says i-something. Delete that task. Reboot. And it should be solved.

Awesome. Thanks for the quick reply !! I'll give it a try when I get home.

I know right. LOL

It shouldn't be hard to find though. The entry is under the Active Tasks section of the Task Scheduler.

Wait so, it's really not named "i-something"? 😉

Thanks, Chino!!
That worked. So, here comes the bad news. After finally feeling victorious over this difficult install (I was also have shutdown issues caused by IRST), I decided to install my Thermaltake Water 3.0 and start overclocking. After that pain in the ass install I booted up and... nothing. The bloody red CPU LED was lighting up my board. No POST. I tried a myriad of things and nothing changed. So , I guess I should exchange the MoBo and CPU?

What you need to do is start from a clean slate.

Clear CMOS and start new.

If you OS is corrupted then you will think your system is messed when in truth it is your OS.
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.

I tried clearing the CMOS. Nothing changed.. I'm suspecting a bent pin on the CPU socket. I already sent everything back. I should be getting replacements this week... If I'm lucky.
