I do not see these CPUs listed on the Boards official asus page with which CPUs are support that why again, I'm skeptical until either a bios update says it is or it's put up on ASUS's page for the board.

I would test on the C5F but I would have to beat myself with a stick if I spent $1000.00 for an overclocked 8350.

I understand what your saying, but I also wouldn't spend that kind of money without proof that it's compatible from ASUS. And so far, I can find no official proof that ASUS says they work in the Crosshair V. Unless a Dev or someone of that nature were to post it up or Asus posts it on the board's official page, like I already mentioned.

Not trying to be a pain here, just don't feel like throwing away money without proof or life....

its been benched on the cross-z. if the v gets a bios update then it might work, being that you have the correct power going to the board

I appreciate that AMD has validated it, however ASUS makes the board. They both have to Validate it, otherwise it's the blind leading the blind. It doesnt work. Had this too many times when doing software development, The developers would write the software per the companies specs, but would not communicate enough for when the final product was released. Then too many updates were released. The same with bios updates. It is really how it is. Can't get around it. But with respect M'ate if I do not see ASUS validating it too, I'm not spending a grand on it. Which, hell I'd love to throw that in my water cooled beast of a system, It's a 1500 watt PSU, 32 gig oc ram, two 680 gtx.

I totally appreciate the link for the advice to run it. I'd want to add one or two more fans in it to help it out. Maybe even slightly more power on the PSU, similar to a Haswell CPU double checking that it can be run, Haswell. You have to have a PSU that can enter sleep properly. Course you guys probably already know that, sorry for the rant.

No disrespect intended, but i just don't understand why anyone would spend so much money on what is essentially, an overclocked 8350. Although, I am an AMD fan, I think AMD got this one wrong. It's like buying snake oil from the snake oil salesman.
