All Rampage IV Extreme Owner's, Post your time length with the board

Hey, I just wanted to see how many people that have the board in a good time frame since it got released or had it over 6 months or a year+ and if you come across any issues during the time period since you got it.

Its just a simple question really since some people got lucky with the board and some that don't really and had to RMA the board to get the problem fixed. (For Example Cold Post issue etc)

And I know there always be either a chance where you may get a bad board or a defect on it somehow (like a faulty Bluetooth or audio sound card not working but board still works though).

But all in all I like to know + Curious and if you added watercooling on the chipset board itself as well.

Plus if you love the board and if you done any overclocking or intense overclocking with the board. (Its okay if you done either a minimal of overclocking tho 🙂 )

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I like to see, so I can either decide to stick with the board again & see if I may able to have the board to last longer than how mine previously did. (I usually like sticking on the extremes due that it has all the good features but of course I play gaming as well with it, just as long the components don't frie itself up >.< )

Hi,
I have the board since 2012. I had actually zero problems regarding the hardware itself, booting or otherwise.
The only 2 "problems" i had were related more to user ignorance.

1. updated BIOS, and after that the PCH fan was not spinning > setting in BIOS fixed that.
2. After upgrading hardware to TITANS, the system came into an iROG bootloop, wich was due to not enough power on the native pci slots.
This was fixed after installing the 6pin EZ connector.

The only thing i would like to see from Asus is a somewhat more detaild info on what they change in BIOS updates.

All in all im a very happy customer on behalf of the ASUS brand.

Just feel i have to reply to this thread..

Got mine when it was first released on the market, almost 2 years ago?

20 rebuilds using that mobo, been installed in 10 different computers, and been running flat on a table many times.
30-50 cpu installs/removals
Twice soaked under water/glycol powered up
Mobo water blocks been removed and installed a numerous of times (PCH/VRM)
Almost daily 5000mhz-5225mhz
Temps between -20c/+40c
Endless amount of benchmarking
I learned how to OC using this board
Been running 1/2/3/4 way gpu's
Updated bios 3 times in this period, one of those was for a very short time, 1 hours or so..

Thats the story behind my motherboard, never any service, or RMA..

Board only gets better and better, only issue> i have lost the bundled ROG sticker

Die hard Svalbard

Installed the RIVE in November 2011. Roughly 22 months ago. Added the Koolance mobo waterblocks and 7970s crossfire in December 2011. I haven't had a single issue with this board. It's been running solid every day with the specs in the sig.

And I'm *still* running BIOS 1005. The best BIOS ever for this board IMO. 😄

On a side note, this is the longest I have ever gone without a rebuild. But there hasn't been anything to upgrade to. I may drop in an IB-E, but the mobo will rock on until Haswell-E. I'm happy the RIVE has been so solid while I've waited for Intel to release some new kit.

yes 1005 is a fine one, especially for OC, to the negative is that the 1005 version lack some of the functions that are available on never versions.. But still...

Got mine on release died a month ago.

you mean the large one for the side of your case?

I am willing to part with mine for no less than a GTX680... I will also throw in the small "powered by" badge for a GTX780 or at least for the two sticker combo a GTX770.

I don't do ATI here anymore since my Rage Fury Maxx, so no ATI board offers please.

thank you...
