AI Suite II - Weird Sensor Warnings

Hi,

I hope someone can tell me if this is something to be concerned about.

The AI Suite II Alerts me to the following from time to time:
Motherboard -1.0 Degrees
VCore - 0.0027

However when running CPUID HW Monitor, I never see the same results as above.

Also may be worth noting this issue has only occurred with the last two updates to AI Suite II, if I revert to the previous version the alerts no longer display and the logs are clean.

FYI: You don't have to use/install the AI suite you know? The board will run perfectly fine without it.

It has a reputation of issues in general 😛 Anyhow, make sure you are not running AI Suite along with HW Monitor at the same time or ANY software that polls hardware for such values as that will make sure you get bad readings.

LOL, Thanks I get that I don't need to install AI Suite, and I have read some threads that it reports incorrect values, I think the concern is more one for the Asus developers to take note that a product that is partnered with the best damn board out there (yes I said it....don't agree, bite me) does not seem to work correctly, and potentially could lead to concern over the mobo being a problem.

I put it out there to say, as the ROG community, what do you think of the AI Suite, would you install it by default or use other tools like CPUID.

If its a case of the community saying AI Suite is not a viable companion to this Mobo what is? Be good to know.

It is a common practice for vendors to package a whole heap of 'added value' items with a motherboard. Now I think that is all well and good but I never forget that the vendor is a motherboard manufacturer not a software house. 😄 I do not like AIsuite and will not suggest anyone install it.

There are other applications out there that do the job better and as you say it is the best board right now, so lets have the best software on it. AIsuite is not that software. It is a great idea, but the time and skill set that is needed to translate that great idea into a great application is just not possible for any vendor to do in my view.

That is so well put! Just a real shame Asus manufacture such excellent products, yet the SW Development is just so mediocre.

Most of the dislike of AI suite on this forum comes from AI Suite not playing well with other polling apps. The app itself works pretty well for me. Just depends what it is you deem more important. If you're anal about studying voltages and temps, then sure there are better tools out there to do it. If you install the Fan Xpert module don't install AIDA for example.

Other than that, could the app itslef be better - yes it could. Is it as bad as people say it is? No it's not. And no, I'm not defending it for the sake of marketing. Just like to be balanced and present what can be done with the app rather than "don't install it, it's crap".
