A2 Error, please help!

First time builder here. I've been struggling with booting my system. On startup, my system will give me a short chirp, then there is a delay, then a long beep followed by four short beeps (sometimes there is also another sequence of one long, three short). The code displayed on the mobo (Asus z87 Pro) is A2 - which means IDE Detect. I managed to install my OS by disconnecting my SSD and HDD, leaving only the ODD (it still showed A2, but allowed me into BIOS where I made it boot from the disk). It successfully installed Windows 7 Pro to my SSD after I reconnected both drives, and after it restarted it gave me code A2 again, despite me switching my SSD to first in boot priority. Now when it goes to BIOS it insists there is a cpu fan error because the RPMs are low (~400). I can force it to boot manually by clicking on the SSD in the BIOS but I can't get the stupid A2 error to go away. I have already used USB flashback. I'm completely lost now.

Long and four short is hardware failure if I remember right

Long and three short is GPU failure

Not sure what's going on there exactly but it might be worth your while carefully unmounting everything and then setting up again...reseating connections and generally making sure everything is in place.

When you install win 7 you should only have the target disk plugged in, no others, otherwise windows writes some partitions to other drives and then things get complicated to boot if those drives go missing.

Lastly you should be able to set the BIOS to "ignore" low fan speed...but if your CPU fan is spinning that low I'd be looking into it. Maybe the system doesn't like low CPU fan speed and is halting?
