A few questions (Hero / Formula / Ram)?

I have a few questions about ROG Maximus Vi boards.

1. How many onboard fan connectors are the on the Hero and Formula?
2. Dose the board have easy fan connectors for H110 or will I need to "drag" a cord over the the whole mb?
3. How much is it likely that the Formula will cost. A bit more than Hero or will it have Extreme class cost?

4. Is there really and difference between 3rd gen oriented ram and 4th gen oriented ram?
Back in the day with i7-920 etc series I remember I bought the wrong ram because it had a higher voltage than recommended for i7 1st gen. Is there something similar on Haswell?

5. I am planing to get a stable 24/7 system at 4,5gh with 1,2v or less on a H110 cooler.
I would want to have ram as fast as possible as well and currently I have unsure if I should get:
Kingston DDR3 HyperX Beast 32GB 2400MHz 4x8GB KIT CL11 HyperX Beast or
Kingston DDR3 HyperX Beast 32GB 1866MHz 4x8GB KIT CL10 HyperX Beast

Would it be realistic to be able to set the ram to 2400 and not worry about the cl or would it be better to pick the 1866 speed ram with lower cl because I would probably not be able to run at 2400 stable anyway?
(Note: I am also planing to have a 10gig ramdisk.)

6. General OCing. Do people recommend over clocking and then setting CPU volt to adaptive for 24/7 PC or do people generally just keep it at manual because the life time shortening, heat and power cost is minimal?

Thx in advance for any replies

The Hero has been released, so you should be able to find info on the ASUS website, the Formula on the other hand won't be out til sometime next month.

The forum seems kinda dead if these questions are to hard.

Myk, I have looked at pictures of both bords and tried to count the fan connectors etc, but I would have liked official confirmation from others. Thats why I asked. The, using a analogy, "use Google" statement isnt really helpful. At least you replied, I guess...

Lobos222 you posted your question at 1.15am my local time. You got a reply from a member 4 mins after you posted. Not that many forums give you that kind of respons.

You then insult the forum by saying it is kind of dead, nice one mate real classy of you.

The information you were giving is accurate and appropriate. The Hero board is available for retail, the specification sheet is on the ASUS web site. The fact that you are not willing to go look, but expect others to go look for you is frankly quite mystifying to me.

https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/MAXIMUS_VI_HERO/#specifications

Here is the specification page. Look at the internal I/O section all the fan headers are listed there.

The ROG forum is one of the most friendly and helpful forums I have ever seen in the technology sector and I welcome you here, we respect ourselves and therefore we also respect each other. Myks advice to go look at the ASUS support page is not telling you to go google it is telling you were the information you requested is located.

Regards
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.

"The fact that you are not willing to go look, but expect others to go look for you is frankly quite mystifying to me. "

It probably mystifies you because you didnt bother to read the other questions. Its clear I have done some research and I also told Myk that.
I started with a easy question on a ROG board on the ROG forum to confirm the amount, scandal!

Yet the only thing I get in return as a potential new customer is a "Asus.com you idiot" response.
Good job HiVizMan on giving people second thoughts about getting Asus products. Registering here was a waste of time...
Yes, I do get better responses on other tech forums.

I agree with HiVizMan, this is one of the best tech forums on the web, the answers you get are very clear and there are many of them.

the fact you're to lazy to go to the asus website end ckeck the specs, and that you question them, but you still rage because we don't post
the exact same specs that are already clearly on the asus site shows very little respect.

I can understand that u want those specs verified, if they weren't on an official manufacturer's website.
I think you're just acting pretentious.
