8GB Single Stick Modules

I have been looking all over the place for a single 8gb stick of fast DDR3 suitable for my GENE-Z mother board. Considering DDR3 PC3-17000 2133 to overclock it but all i seem to be able to find are 2 x 4gb kits. The board can take up to 32GB of ram so i want to leave the option open to have that rather than sticking in smaller capacity multiple sticks for a max of 16GB.

Anyone know where i can get single 8GBs from for reasonable money?

Think they are all sold in pairs my friend (and not cheap either). 32GB at 2133 will need a very good IMC if it is possible. Recall on Sandybridge Intel classifies anything over DDR3-1333 as overclocked for the memory controller, so at that density, a good CPU with a lot of margin is required together with voltage and memory timing tuning by the end-user.

There are 8gb single sticks around but really hard to find. I dont mind buying them in twos as long as they are 8gb each. Dont want to use 4gb as i wont be able to reach 32gb of RAM if i wish to do so in the future. The boards a GENE-Z with a 2600K in it so i am a bit stuck now trying to decide on RAM.

Part of me says "you really do not need 32gb RAM anyway its excessive" and the other part says "it would be nice to have the option to go to 32mb if i wanted using 8gb sticks"

Is it really worth the expense or would simply going to 16gb on the Maximus IV GENE-Z be more than ample firepower for gaming?
