have enny one gone from a 5xx series screencard to 6xx series and noticed mutch change in performance?
and frame rate and so on?
im sitting here thinking of MABYE changing to a 680, so have to be shure how if there are huge difrence.
on the crosshair 5 formula board.

prob not going to see much from a 5870 to a 68XX but you will going to a 79XX ..
was thinking myself doing 2x 6870 if i could get em cheap enough other than that waiting till xmas for the price drops for a 79XX

I went from a 580 to a 680 and couldnt be happier, the 580 was a great card, and I like my 680 even more. Btter performance, lower power Req, and runs tons cooler than my 580.

Big gains are with the heat and the power use. Performance is not shabby and as much as the benchers hate the boost it works really well for gamers. Worth the upgrade. But the 580 will play any game right now with no problem so it is pretty much because you can not because you have to.

Alot of the 6k series cards were released w/o working drivers for months. I think most of the 6k were just re-branded cards. This one still dominates though 5870 🙂 the 79xx have dropped price as of yesterday
