Here is my Rock solid 4.8GHz OC.

Max Temps (LinX 0.64 Max Memory Stress 30min)

Trying to reach 5.0/5.2GHz, no success, need help. I've managed to get 5.0GHz, but max temps was 81-82C.

Hi All. I suppose Smiki007 and I both ended up with really good samples!

I'm at 4.8 GHz 24/7 with 1.392v (peaking to 1.4v with a "Regular" LLC). I run VCCSA LLC at "Regular" as well, running a 2400 memory kit at 1866 (1.55v on the DIMMS). VTT is at 1.1v and PLL is at 1.7 - has been for months!

Cores top out right about 72C (25C ambient room temperature).

I played around at 5.0 GHz for a few days @ 1.44v, but there isn't really any reason for me to be at that voltage 24/7. Honestly, I don't see any usable difference from the stock 4.0 GHz, other than 4000 more points in 3DMark...

I too am definitely happy with 1.4v to pull this off 😄

Sweet 😉
Have you tried to run Prime for 8-12 hours ? What are the temps after 3-5 hours?

Don't bother with Prime, or any of that other junk, yes...I said junk...unless you wanna help fry your CPU for no reason at all faster, be my guest 😉

Tsk Myk some folks love Prime just because we do not like the idea of cooking a cpu for no reason does not mean that it is not important for others.
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.

Apologies Sir, was just trying to be helpful....shall I stand in the corner and think on what I have done? 😛

You can mark me down in the 'middle ground' column. I don't think it's necessary to "slow cook" your processor for 8+ hours in Prime95 (what's the point??), but I do think it's necessary to sautee it a little (re: 1 hour) to confirm stability. My own personal experience in the past month has proven that while it hurts me to have to subject my cpu to such torture, Prime95 (or IBT/LINX) is really the only torture test strong/sensitive enough to return errors and/or crash when there's an instability that is otherwise hidden.

Fwiw, I think the party line should be "don't kill your cpu by burning it for 8+ hours, there's no point. If you can pass Prime95 for 1 hour, move on to the real world/gaming test phase and have fun."
