Spec: asus maximus iv extreme z,core i7 2600k,ddr3 1333mhz 16gb,seagate barracuda st3 6gb's hdd.

From clean OS install my pc takes about 2.30 minutes to bootup and log in to windows 7 64bit untill icons and taskbar is
ready. This is the reason i bought the 6gb's hdd and plug into intel 6gb's port but made no diverens.
I think this is pretty bad for a quad core cpu.

Help will be appreciate.
Thanx

What USB devices do you have installed?

And are you timing until the windows flower thing starts to sparkle or until you are able to use your mouse?

And welcome to the forum.

Thanx for the quich reply.
I only have wireless logitech keyboard and gamepad conected at startup, and two extenal hdd witch is off at statup.
I bought a r.a.t.5 mouse witch is conected but had the problem before.
Yes until the mouse works but every stage in the boot sequence takes long.

No problem.

The USB devices are not the friend of quick booting up. So I would think about not having them all connected. It is so easy to just plug them in when needed.

Would you try with all but the keyboard and mouse connected and see how long to the point where the flower starts to sparkle.

Cheers

Hi
Sorry for taking so long, have to sleep now and then.Booting up took 56 seconds with out usb divices and the same with them, there was one second deference. But how can a clean instalation of windows take so long to start and if the cpu is under load i can't do anything else.
Sorry i am not a IT specialist but i'm not happy with this systems performance

P.S. I must say that the overcloking and gaming performance is awwsome

Now something else went wrong.Starting my pc with all usb's conected my mouse and internet was missing.
After some testing i noticed that the top 4 usb3 ports is not connecting any usb device. In Device Management there's a unknown device with error mesage (Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43).
I have tried re-installing chipset and usb3 controller drivers but still nothing

I hope this is not a doggy mother board

Thanx

Try deleting/uninstalling all the devices with flags rather than trying to reinstall over the top. Reboot the PC with everything cleared and see if Windows can properly reinstall them.
A bus station is where a bus stops. A train station is where a train stops. On my desk, I have a work station…

Thanx
Will try and reply

Thanx xeromist but no luck, windows gave error after installing driver for the unknown device

Did you try to install all your device drivers while over-clocked at all? I do that all the time and get the odd bad failed driver install.
