1701 - 0d bios boot code

Hi all,

I've been happily using my Crosshair V Formula-z comfortably for some months now (since July-2013), comfortably using and updating to 1503 and 1602. Flashed to 1701 last night, got a 0d boot code.

- Nothing appeared on the screen, checked mboard LEDs, VGA LED flashing - claimed my hd6950 was faulty (been using it fine for a solid 2 years)/
- Switched to a spare hd3850, no VGA LED flashing, same symptomns - black screen, 0d boot code
- unplugged all hdd - black screen, 0d boot code
- inserted asus cd to see if the mboard will detect it - black screen, 0d boot code

What should I do? Is there any way to reflash an older bios? Or should I just RMA?

Cheers,
wesmo

i think yes, try this one:

no siggy, saw stuff that made me sad.

What should I rename the Bios too? I'm attempting with CHVFZ.CAP

What should I rename the Bios too? I attempted with CHVFZ.CAP, the ROG Connect button LED flashes 3 times then turns off...

i haven't quite used it myself, so i couldn't give the exact answer.

but, judging from the renaming pattern, i'd try one of these few:
1. - CH5FZ.CAP
- put usb in the ROG connect, attempt to flashback.

2. - C5FZ.CAP
- put usb in the ROG connect, attempt to flashback.

tell me if you got any of these working. use your last recent stable bios version for that particular motherboard.
