Tried the new flashtool and now my card is dead, thanks Asus.

Any ideas what to do, computer seems to boot up ok, but there's no signal to monitor using displayport or DVI.

I flashed at stock speed at both cpu and gpu in Windows 8 64bit. I'm on 3602 bios.

Everything fine when using another vga card.

That does not sound good at all.
Can you please let me know your spec and I will ask them to look into details?

Here's the spec of my computer (signature from another forum):

* Corsair Graphite 600T * Intel Core i7-3930K @ 4,6GHz * Asus Rampage IV Extreme (3602) * G.Skill Ripjaws Z DDR3 PC19200 8x4096MB [@2133MHz) * 2x Samsung 840 Pro 256GB RAID0 * Samsung S27B970D * Asus GeForce GTX690-4GD5 4GB * Creative Sound Blaster ZxR * LG CH10 10x Blu-ray * Windows 8 Pro 64bit * QNAP TS-669 PRO, 6x3TB Hitachi RAID5 *

Flashing the card took like 15 min and ended with some strange beeps from my speakers.

Tried the card in another system today and same thing. 😞

ASUS provide me a solution if your card still not working.

Hey sirisy: Please let me know the model name of GTX690 you tested. My source did not find any issue from our site.
Hey Karl-Johan: I will ask them to reproduce on your spec again.

My source is using R4E (SBIOS: 3602) / Win 8 64 bits / Nvidia driver: 320.18

model name? Where do I find it? Would this code here: E1445U-C GTX690-4GD5

And I have not tested yet. I would test on a R4E (bios 4004) / Nvidia Driver 314.22 / Win 7 Professional SP1 (or some installation of Win 8 pro - 64 bits, if necessary).

I also do not understand why it is required to have Windows 8 to apply the new BIOS on the VGA. I would install Windows 8 (in "full UEFI mode", without CSM) only after putting the UEFI GOP. It is mandatory to have Windows 8 before? And which installation (UEFI-CSM mode, Mbr standard installation .. etc. ..)?

and thanks for the help and interest in our case

You should be able to find the model name on the carton box. An ASUS model name is very easy to be found.
Also it requires WIN 8 if you want it to work. Sorry, Win 7 will not work at all. 🙂

on the model name, is not that what I said (E1445U-C GTX690-4GD5)? If not, what is the format of the model name?

on flashing bios.... to flash bios (UEFI GOP) i need windows 8? why? is a limitation that does not make much sense to me, because if you want to trigger the UEFI mode without CSM (after updating the bios vga) you have to reinstall windows (in RIVE, drivers for RAID, for example, are different for the two modes) and flash a vbios does not usually depend on the operating system you have installed (nvflash, atiflash "runs" on win7, for example). i flashed UEFI GOP for hd7970 (MSI Lightning) "on windows 7" without problems (without windows 8 installed).

So then (after flash uefi gop), to enable UEFI (without CSM), i installed windows 8 (but not for flash BIOS).

UPDATE: great news. Decided to try and flash UEFI GOP in my GTX 690. Everything ok. UEFI GOP flashed.

Done using Windows 7 (I ran the program from ASUS, he checked the motherboard, checked the VGA and asked if I wanted to update the BIOS, I gave ok and he updated).
