visit the ekwb shop and search for the Backplate you have installed. assuming you have a EK-Quantum Vector Strix RTX 3070/3080/3090 Backplate the manual shows the thermal pads thickness on page 7 https://www.ekwb.com/shop/EK-IM/EK-IM-3831109832479.pdf . otherwise contact their support, they are very helpful.

Hi,

after a full repad replacement (104ºC tjunction temp, after repadding 90ºC), here is the info and pictures of the process (I haven't found almost any information about this).

back of the graphics card without the backplate:

back of the graphics card without the backplate (new thermal pads, 2mm thickness):

graphics card + block with original thermal pads:

block with original thermal pads (1mm thickness):

block without thermal pads and cleaned with isopropilyc alcohol:

graphics card with new thermal pads installed (1mm thickness):

In order to full repad the graphics card you will need:
- 2 pads 120x20x2mm for VRAM chips on the back side of the card
- 4 pads 120x20x1mm for VRAM chips on the front and the VRM's

You can try this from Amazon

https://www.amazon.com/Iceberg-Thermal-DRIFTIce-120mm-2-0mm/dp/B08KYGP937?th=1

see you can buy the 40X80X1.5mm

@ahfoo just abit confused as moonshadow used different sizes. Would the 40x80x1.5mm work for all areas of the card?

This is what my friend recommended me to use. But moonshadow88 did shown his method and fully covered the GPU. I think @moonshadow88 advice method is better.
