Strix RTX 3080 OC: Blinking red leds

Hi all,

Sometimes, when I shut down my PC, all 3 leds of the power connectors start blinking red, this only happens at the moment when the power is off. I need to use PSU switch to make them stop blinking.

My PSU is a Corsair AX850, I use 3 separate PCIe cables, the card is running at stock with the latest bios.

Please note that I used the same PSU/CABLES/CARD on my previous system (Intel 4790K + MAXIMUS VII Ranger), before upgrading to a Ryzen 5950X + B550 Strix-E, and I never had this issue.

Guys! I had similar thing with my Strix 3090 at the very beginning, at the time I had Seasonic 1000W Prime Platinum. I also had Seasonic 1300 Prime platinum in which that PSU eliminated the blinking light.

One thing I didn't like about the 1300 Platinum was the fan profile to loud, it was too aggressive and the fanless operation was up to 20% of load so at around 250W fans would kick in and I didn't like that noise

I called seasonic and the 850 TX/PX Titanium was approved by seasonic, but occasionally, depending of the time that PSU was produced you might have issue, if that happens reach out to seasonic they will fix that., or send new appropriate replacement. Btw. Seasonic has superb customer support and painless RMA process.

I end up getting 1000 TX titanium and ever since works without single glitch, Seasonic stated that 1000 TX Titanium is new model and has been tested to be100% trouble free.

I have Corsair RM750x and blinking red lights happened maybe 3-4 times during my 3-month ownership of ROG STRIX 3080 OC. Not effect on performance.

I have a Seasonic Prime 1300 and have the same issue. I could RMA it but I'm not confident that would solve the problem

I'm having this same red blinking led issue as well on a rog strix rtx 3070 oc.

Cmon Asus give us a answer or a link to update bios. Please

Same problem here, all 3 LEDs flashing, switching off the power supply completely fixes the issue until I restart the pc. Perfomance doesn't suffer, but it's annoying.

I have a bequiet! Straight Power 1000W Gold as power supply, when the GPU was new it wasn't flashing now it suddenly is.

strix 3090oc owner. same problem started for me today after 2 month of use (updated the bios few days ago. "fixed" it by turning of pc, turning off psu and pull the plug from psu. its gone (for now). hope that asus fixes the problem soon with a new bios. i mean we are talking about 1900€ card.

I bought a Strix 3080 OC since 3 months ago. But, I have the similar problem with red light flashing. It doesn't cause any trouble, it's just annoying. I thought, I'll replace it a Strix 3080 ti. What do you know about, it also has such a flashing led problem?

ASUS Strix RTX 3090 here, same problem, and my PC shuts down while gaming sometimes, but I don't know if it's a problem with my PC or the game itself.
