Saw a reviewer on Youtube (4.10) Overclocked Asus Strix RTX 4090 Review w/ 5300 mhz i9 12900KS OC - YouTube @ 4.13 he mentions his power light was a solid on and said this was normal.

Does anyone know if this is correct.

@Silent Scone@ROG

I dont have that power detect toggle in GPU tweak 3. Using latest version. I have a 4090 Tuf OC. Is it only available for the Strix? I also have the Red led light when computer is off.

For me Gpu tweak 3 only show 0Db fan and OSD

im having an issue, my 4090 founders card is blinking red on the card, i thought it was because my power supply wasn't enough so i went and purchased a 1600 watt power supply and it is still blinking red. i cant find any info whatsoever on this problem.
Thank You

Is it blinking when PC is turned off or on?
Do performance heavy games crash?
Use GPUz and see what voltages you are getting.

hi, i have a follow up question on the subject, i know that the red light is not a problem when the card is off

i have now exchanged the original adapter cable for the one from seasonic which i received on request now the light is off even when it is switched off

I think it has something to do with the fact that the two pcie plugs on the power supply side are not fully equipped and therefore no longer send a "signal / residual current" to the graphics card when the pc is switched off

Does someone have the same assumption ?

Hello, I know it has been a while since this thread but, i'm having the exact same behaviour today with my 4070 after i changed the adapter for the corsair 12vhpwr cable. Have you found any answers about this or had any problems with your card after the change?

Hi, I too just put the corsair 12vhpwr adapter on my strix 4090 and I can confirm that the gpu power led stays off even when the pc is off. However, I noticed that when I shut down the system from windows, when the psu cuts the power, the led on the gpu flashes 4 times then goes off. Does this happen to you too? I am attaching a video for you to understand. Can you tell me if this happens to you too?

Hey man, sorry for the late reply. Mine just stays off, doesn't flash like yours, but i guess it's nothing to be scared of.

hello, so when you turn off the pc, when the power supply cuts off the current to the motherboard, your led doesn't flash? I really hope it's not a serious problem, also because when using the PC (benchmark and game) it always stays off. off even when the PC is off. I think it's the residual current that remains in the pci express port...and the led flashes and then goes off...do you think it's serious?
