Strix 1080 flimmering/flickering issues

Vickepistol

About a month ago I bought a new GPU, strix 1080 and everything been running fine until recently.
I've noticed in every game I play (and in unigine Heaven bench) that shiny objects such as poles or water have this weird flickering off color.
Ill provide a short video and a few screenshots. Hopefully someone can help me out a little.

These screenshots don't really demonstrate the problem properly but there is some flickering going on in all the circled areas which makes things unbearable.

Any ideas what this might be?

I'd install a dummy OS on a spare drive, personally.

So I've tried to format windows which didn't solve the issue.
Decided to make a video and share! 🙂

In the video notice all the areas that are supposed to give a reflection or appear shiny, they look like **** and some edges are very ugly.
Also the ropes on the boat and the rail infront of the helm (and alot of other things) are weird and flimering

No ideas?

It's likely difficult to see in the video with compression. Plus you've turned tesselation down, so it's difficult to compare as most users will run this at max settings. It's peculiar, you need to debug it in a different system perhaps, but it looks like it may be the card.

Just tried an old card I found, problem remained. Starting to think maybe it's the CPU. I'll try with a different one later today.
Thanks for replying 🙂

Very much doubt it's CPU related, you definitely formatted and reinstalled the system using the latest drivers?

I updated all the GPU drivers and then reinstalled the latest thru Geforce Experience, no difference though.

You stated earlier in the thread that you'd formatted and installed an entirely fresh version of Windows, though? Can you confirm you've done this?

I guess I am not quite sure what you mean. I chose the "Remove everything" option when I formatted it thru windows 10? 🙂
