Strange issue with 1070 Strix RGB LEDs

So I've had my Asus Strix OC GTX1070 since November of 2016. All of the RGB LED's worked perfectly fine when I got the card, and I've had no issues otherwise with the performance of the card. However, I noticed yesterday that the RGB LEDs seemed to only be partially functioning on one end of the card. Here are some pictures: The first picture is what the card looked like after installing it (properly functioning RGB LEDs), and the second picture is what it looks like now (RGB LEDs only working on one side.

Anybody have an idea of what I could do to fix this? I tried reinstalling/updating the Asus AURA program, GPUTweak, and GPU BIOS, all to no avail. The card performs perfectly fine, no overheating/fan issues, no performance loss in games, etc.

I just want to know if there is some simple fix that I'm completely missing, or if there is no way to fix this. Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

Hi XenSide,

None of the admins have received any info from you, do you still need the issue to be fixed? Please PM Bill@ASUS with your serial number.

I kinda gave up after a bit thinking that no one was going to help me, I'm actually so thankful for your interest. I recently received an email from the support (Someone of you probably reopened my ticket, thanks a ton) asking about what was the issue with Amazon and I just answered them right now. Thanks again, I'll contact Bill if something goes wrong just like you suggested.

anyone get a fix for this or am i just out 600 bucks cause the lighting and speeds was the hole reason i bought this card

Hello everyone I think i foud a salution to thins problem. The LED its not falty its the tube its self, over the time from the light the tube is getting like milki brown ish and the tube have to be replaced. Here is what i thing ASUS used (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0797M9FF9/ref=asc_df_B0797M9FF956683093/?tag=googshopuk-21&creative=221...) i have the same issue ill order it and see if that makes any difference.

Hello all
I am having the exact same problem but with a graphics card ROG-STRIX-RX580-T8G-GAMING I read a lot about the graphics card before buying and I read that lighting works well for eight years  But now I have this ridiculous holiday after a year and a half 😉
It seems to be a bug in all graphics cards

You have ordered this purchase https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07C4QG7W1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Thank you to the owner of the subject and to all those who contributed to solving this problem, but I did not know what to do

I have Asus Rog strix Gtx 1070.My GPU was looking amazing before but now is looking bad.The GPU is the best one of performance but i have an issue with the Rgb tube.

I have two of these cards and have sent one away to have this fixed. They sent me a new card and the other one had the same thing happen to it a month later... I just gave up on them, disabled the onboard RGB and installed a LED strip to light my build...

ASUS ROG RGB is garbage. My Hero VI motherboard RGB colours don't even match anymore either. The IO shows two different shades or any colour I pick... and so does one of the cards.....

I have the same issue on a my 2 computer.... GTX1080ti strix O11G and 11G
both used less than 1 year

both have the same LED issue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have an Asus 1070 Strix, I have no problems with the leds, but I opened it to clean it and the LED system is only 2 leds at the end of the board and the light is channeled through 2 acrylic or fiber optics of some kind through the board. Maybe they've moved and the light does not go through.

In 3:55 time, and 4:22 we can see it.

No need to dismount the cooler from the board, it is easy to take the cover from the fans.
