SLI Hell ....

Hi,

Just received my second GTX 770 Direct CUII OC.

Now, in game I am having major issues with the setup, games keep crashing (BF4 and Ghost). After a while my game just freeze's and them I loose both monitors, hard reboot. I have a 10c difference between the 2 cards but after reading it's quite normal. The hottest card goes up to 69c... not enough to make it crash.

PC spec's are in sig.

What I tried to date:

- Synch both card's with GPU Tweak
- Swap card's
- Changed the SLI bridge
- Unclocked both card's and synch them with GPU Tweak
- Updated the VBIOS on both card's

Any help would be great 🙂

Thanks

Mad

Is that only with BF4 or is this happening running things like unigine valley or furmark or other games etc.

Back in the day, My first pc build I had a Corsair HX1000 psu. It ran everything fine. I was using two gtx 280 graphics cards and a 65 watt dual core cpu. I added a third gtx 280 and poof the power supply fried as it could not supply enough power. I had to go to a 1200 watt psu for three gpu's. While the HX1000 is a good psu, it is a dual 12 volt rail psu. I now prefer single 12 volt rail psu's. My current psu is the pc power and cooling turbo cool 1200 watt. It has never failed running three gtx 680 FTW 4 GB cards and the 3770k at 4.7 Ghz. I also have the koolance ERM-2K3U liquid cooling unit which draws about 50 watts.

Hmmm well it might be power....though today, after not having a driver problem ever through all these releases the graphics driver crashed on opening a YouTube video.....and it's been fine gaming etc....

You using any game booster software or video capture software or anything like that while gaming?

A quality 1000 watt psu is enough for two graphics cards, If you plan on running three graphics cards I would go with a quality 1200 watt psu. Although nothing wrong with a 1200 watt psu for two graphics cards, it will leave you room to add more components such as case fans more drives, another cd/dvd reader/writer etc.

No, ain't using anything like that. But unplugging my second monitor, underclocking both cards by 11 mhz and removing my OC on the CPU did the trick.

Corsair AX1200i on it's way, hope this was the problem.

Well if you're OCing that PSU will be much more comfortable and stable so a good investment anyway.

Well, just installed my AX1200i, good waste of 400$... Still makes the PC reboot for nothing. Each card work great...but in SLI I'm getting weird artifacts, stuttering and random reboots.

Shoot me for spending almost 1k for absolutely nothing lol.
