I'm sorry if this has already been asked and answered, but so far, I have found nothing, not even a rumor.
I know it's still early in the new series stages, but I like the Strix cards and have been waiting to see at least some pricing on the new series. But, so far, I don't even see any news.
I'm still in the planning stages of my next build, so I have plenty of time, but my daughter and son-in-law are hounding me to build them a new gaming PC, and I figured the one I have now would be perfect for them and give me a good time to update.
Unfortunately I can't find anything I want:
I was looking for a "Black" Z890 Apex (for DIMM.2 and other things I want) and all I seem to be able to find, for some unknown reason, is silver/white?
And nothing in the Strix series 5080 or 5090.
Are there any links to news about these products and their possible future?
thanks

Hi @JBBlack
1. The Z890 APEX is only available in white.
2. Currently, I'm not aware of any plans for the Strix brand to accommodate the 5080 and 5090 SKUs.
In my opinion, it makes perfect sense that the Astral branding takeover the flagship products, given that the Strix lineup in the motherboard segment arenot flagship boards.

Oh man, thats what I was afraid of. I wanted another Apex board, but I like my systems blacked out completely (white PC parts are not for me). I am eyeballing the Hero, though; I always wanted one. But I really like the DIMM.2 features over the 4 memory slots. I have 2 sticks of 48g ram, so the 2 extra RAM slots are just taking up space for me. And I see that M.2 slots 3 and 4 will take the X16 PCI to X8, which is not terrible but limiting.
So the Astral is the new flagship card eh? I'm willing to try the new Astral, although not at the current pricing. But I have time, so I will wait a few months and see what happens. I can always keep my 4080 for a while longer, My son has a 2080 he can give my daughter, which should be good enough.
Thanks for the heads up SilentScone
