ROG HB SLI Bridge Release?

Is there any time frame that US customers might see the new HB SLI bridge?

I miss my awesome led one from last generation :(.

OK, so class me with stupid, because I can't seem to get the lights on my ROG-HB-SLI-Bridge to work.
Do I NEED to take this apart and insert a Battery, or should it work with power drawn from the SLI?
JSYK, I don't have the cable attached.
