Hi toronto699

It looks like the double and triple performance increase is with virtual reality and not with regular desktop gaming but still a nice increase none the less.

I read your other thread and sorry to hear about your gpu dying from a windows update, unfortunately I don't think there is a way to configure how windows update works in windows 10 it updates automatically.

This is the only real drawback I see with windows 10.

Techpowerup.com has an extensive review as well, the 20fps bump @ 4k is still kinda worth it and the the other small tech improvements (fast sync)

Looks like the F stands not only for Fanboy edition 😮 but also for Fan-problems edition http://wccftech.com/nvidia-geforce-gtx-1080-fan-issues-fix/

Nvidia will release a driver next week to fix the 1080 random fan speed spinning

I testing in one of my GPU intensive flight simulators, and I gotta tell ya. I'm impressed with the GTX 1080. And that. me coming from a 980ti. not a single microstutter. 🙂 temps are at 55c @ 1825mhz.
