I recently upgraded my ancient motherboard, CPU and RAM to Gigabyte Z790 D DDR5, i14600KF and DDR5 Ram. However, I still keep my Strix GTX980TI 6GB since it seems the performance is not toooooo bad for the time being and I don't really play sophiscated games.
After fitting my new motherboard, CPU and RAM, the system successfully boot (based on the on board led display, should be going to the BIOS by that time), but there is no signal going to my two Dell 2k monitors using DP to connect (Daisy Chain). After consulting the vendor, I switched to a HDMI cable to connect to one of my monitor and it works. Then, the vendor suggested enabling CSM and I followed the same and plug in the monitors using DP (with Daisy Chain); then, both monitors work as normal as I want.
I searched and noted the Nvidia provided a firmware update (https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/nv-uefi-update-x64/) and I applied that firmware update and tried to disable CSM... now when start the computer, it automatically go into BIOS, when exit, it boot again and going to BIOS again. When I enable the CSM, the system works fine.
Any means that I can make my system works with CSM disabled? With the CSM, I cannot upgrade to Win11 (in which I don't really care), but I was told that enable CSM may affect the performance of the system which is my concern.
Appreciate if anyone can advise me on this.
