GTX 980 STRIX Blurry

Hey there I recently purchased a ASUS GTX 980 Strix, with a bunch of other new components. Installed everything in my system, but the screen is completly blurry and in low resolution. I figured it was just because I hadn't installed drivers yet, so I installed brand new drivers i downloaded off nvidia site and when it restarts nothing appears on the screen anymore it goes completly blank. I can hear it load into windows but cannot see anything. I have tried this on my previous system with the same results. I must mention that I also had a waterblock installed on it (I know stupid should tested it first) which I removed and replaced with stock strix cooler, with no luck. I have also tried various other graphics card which have worked fine.
My System:
Mobo: Asus X99-E WS
CPU:Intel 5930K
GPU: ASUS GTX 980 Strix
Ram: G-Slill Ripjaws 4 3200Mhz

Which monitor are you using? And how are you connecting your system to it?

I am using a Alienware OptX AW2310 connecting via DVI.

Are you using a fresh copy of Windows? Also are you able to see the ASUS logo at boot?

And can you enter the BIOS? If you can, does everything look normal?

I am using a fresh copy of windows, I can see the asus window at boot and can enter bios although blurry before I install drivers. After drivers install and reboot it goes completely blank and I can't see anything on monitor, the monitor does not pick up a signal.

Have you tried swapping the DVI cable for another? Or maybe try using a HDMI cable to test as well? You can also try updating the BIOS to the latest revision.

I tried updating my bios to the latest one, but it keeps failing. I also tried connecting to my monitor using HDMI cable, with no luck. Almost certain it is faulty, does disassembling the GPU from the GPU cooler void the warranty?

Have you tested the GPU in another system?

Yes, removing the stock cooler voids the warranty. There's a small white sticker on one of the screws. Most probably you had to remove it when you changing the stock cooler for your water block.
