GTX 780 SLI Poseidon or GTX 980 no SLI Poseidon?

I'm trying to figure out which is better and whether the money is worth the bump in performance.

My uneducated guess would be 980 is you wanna double up later, 780 if you find good prices and don't wanna upgrade. 780 sli IS going to require more PSU and power consumption I know that much.

The GTX 980 is newer so you can enjoy the latest NVIDIA technologies. Grab the Strix 980 if your budget is limited. It's a fine card.
