Hi I have a 7 year old 1080 strix 8AG and I did some research on how to fix it as the shroud was no longer emitting light along the length of it. This turns out is due to the fiber optic cable degrading over time so I replaced this. I also resoldered the connection for the rgb +- wires as they snapped off.
Now I've come to realize that the color accuracy is very poor after they started working again. With cyan, yellow, and white getting hit with a weak green diode on one of the LEDS. White is more magenta, yellow is more orange, cyan is more blue. See pictures
Is this due to LED phosphor degradation, green diode burning out from over use, or potential software bug? the green seems to be pretty vibrant it just doesn't mix well.
Is there any way to adjust just the single LED on the board to color correct it? Or a way to maybe resolder a new LED onto there or should I just accept that it's over
