Flickering black textures in game and is random

Flickering Black textures randomly appearing in games. haven't been able to replicate it to diagnose myself. It happens on its own. You can see the glitches being recorded as well when you use nvidia replay.

Have been facing this issue for quiet some time now.It appears randomly . have kept track of temps which never goes above 80. For cs2, i have to reload the map once or twice to get rid of it, mostly twice. It's like once a day thing, despite gaming for 4-5 hours everyday.

Hello bothbeful

Are you overclocking your ASUS RTX 4070 Ti?

It looks like artifacting from too high of an overclock, temperature could also be contributing.

Try installing GPU Tweak III and set a fan curve or manually set the fans to say 80%. If a lower temperature doesn't help, try underclocking the memory a little.

Hey, Thanks for replying.

I haven't done overclocking of my own, The graphic card itself is OC edition. Could that be an issue you think?

I have made sure it's not temperature skyrocketing, no matter what gaming i do, I haven't seen it go above 80.

Yeah. I just used GPU tweak 3 to change mode from default to silent. Difference between them is -10% power target(100% in default,90% in silent) and GPU Boost Clock -30MHz ( 2610MHz in default, 2580MHz in silent ),would that make a difference you think? I'll also try the fan curve suggestion, if silent mode doesn't fix anything.

Lowering the Boost clock and the Memory clock should help with the artifacting.

As you can see, temperature of gpu seems to be fine during the artifacting and next image, thats the mode i had during that artifacting.
Is 0db a cause of problem?  i thought -30Mhz should have sufficed , when you say lowering boost clock and memory clock, by how much would be better you think?

Thank you

Ok so, Silent mode lowered the boost clock 30MHz, but didn't lower the Memory clock.

Try lowering the memory clock to 20000MHz, be sure to click apply.

Even if this stops the artifacting, you should probably contact an official ASUS support center for your region, as it shouldn't be artifacting with any of the modes.

ASUS gives a 3-year warranty on their gpu's in most countries. If you're within the 3-year purchase date, they will most likely want you to RMA it.

If they do, they will want the serial number and proof of purchase.

Did lowering the memory clock stop the artifacting?

Thank you for responding.
I'll test it out and see. I still have half a year left for 3 year warranty window.
The thing with this issue, it only appears randomly once a day in cs2, as thats the game i play regularly. know any way i can replicate this issue consistently?

Last i kept up to date with the latest drivers was july 1 2025. This issue has been there for a 1-2 years despite that. Nonetheless, I'll update to latest one and report back.
