Bluescreen ..000116 when installing Geforce GTX 560M Driver

Client said Bluescreen 0x000000116 (indicating graphics issues). He tried updating graphics driver but it failed. He performed factory reset (???) and lost all data. It came to me cycling through boot up over and over. After messing with it, I did a clean install of Windows 7 Home Prem. Had his ASUS drivers CD and installed any missing network drivers.

Loaded fine, but Graphics Card was Standard VGA Graphics Adapter, not the NVidia Geforce GTX 560M in device manager.
Went to NVidia site and did an automatic search for Graphics Hardware and it found the GTX. I downloaded the latest Driver and custom installed it so it would uninstall the General VGA and install the GTX driver. Installed fine until reboot.
Got bluescreen the kid got and then it went to black screen with start up repair....it finally shuts off.

Even tried installing the same graphics driver from the install CD. Same outcome. Fine until reboot. Cannot boot and launches automatic shutdown and startup repair option. (Also tried the exact driver from ASUS website) same outcome.

Is the Nvidia GTX hardware dead, corrupt?? Drivers were a match and authentic.
