Asus Strix 1080 monitor HDMI off then on

Brand new build and sometimes randomly my display on monitor 1 will go off then on for like 1-2 seconds. Happens at desktop and monitor 2 is fine, both are hooked up HDMI to strix 1080. I re-seated the cable but we'll see. I suspect firefox maybe the culprit? Display driver does not crash. If it did both my monitors would go black but monitor 2 does not. I checked history and no record of nvidia display driver recovery.
Win 10 pro 1809
Nvidia driver 398.82

Prior to this build I was using these in a older build hooked up DVI and never had these problems.

Any ideas?

That's interesting because on another rig i'm using an asus XG27 VA monitor hooked up via displayport to a 1080ti strix and it has freesync 144hz enabled and it has no problems, however it is only a single monitor setup

So I'm going to try something different this time. I've never owned a system with an IGPU before so I'm going to disable it and see what happens. Nothing is connected the IGPU anyways.

I'm having the very same issue when playing videos, APEX or even Fifa. I have downgraded my drivers from 419.67 to 418.91 and the behavior persists in games, but it decreased while i'm using browser or office tools (in more current versions the behaivior persisted with normal use even). This is with my ROG Strix RTX2060 OC edition.
