Hi bought an Asus RTX 4070 TI Super Strix today, and i got an asus rog thor 850p power supply will these work together?
The asus 4070 ti has an 12vhpwr to 3x 8 pin pcie connector, my psu only has 2x 8 pin pcie and a single pcie 1-2 cable aka a daisy chained single cable, Do i need to invest into a whole new power supply or can i use my current one? And insight into this would be great, Thank you

Hi @gettyu
Assuming you're able to provide the adapter with 3x 8-pin connectors, using the daisy shouldn't be an issue.

The power supply should come with 2x PCIe 8-pin cables, but these are only intended for the CPU power supply. These plugs cannot be split into 6+2 (although this is possible with PCIe for the GPU).
These plugs do not fit into this GPU adapter either, as they are shaped differently on the edge.
The power supply should also come with 4x 6+2 pin cables (here 2 pins can be clipped onto the 6 pins to create 8 pins). These cables are intended for the GPU.
So if you use this 2vhpwr to 3x 8 pin pcie adapter, the 3 x 8 pin plugs must go into the power supply.
The 6+2 pin PCIe plugs that must come with the power supply belong in this adapter.
It is best to take photos of the power supply cables you have and then we can tell you exactly which ones you need to use.
