Asus geforce gtx 760 2GB OC edition (problem with black screen blinking)

I recently purchased an Asus geforce gtx 760 graphics card. I run a dual monitor setup and i've never had any issues before with my old graphics card.

Once i installed and updated the graphics drivers, my secondary monitor would randomly go black and blink then return to normality within a second. This is completely random. It NEVER happens with my primary monitor. I have upgraded my drivers to the latest nvidia beta drivers and also reinstalled with the latest stable non beta drivers yet the issue remains. I have also done some background google searches but nothing has turned up.

I'm sure other asus buyers must have had a similar problem so let me know what the solution is.

Many thanks in advance.

Check your cables, that sounds very much like a cable not being fully fitted or having some intermittent fault.
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.

yes i did check my cables a few times and nothing is loose. I even used an air canister to clean any contact surfaces/dvi pins but the blinking still occurs.

I am currently testing the monitor at a lower than native resolution and it seems to be stable but i'll update this thread as i test it for longer. But that is not an ideal solution for me since it doesn't look very nice non native

Could you swap your cables over, and if your second monitor still flickers and goes black then you know it is not the cable itself that is the cause.
