Asus 1080 A8G - using T4 bios! Need some help!

Hi there!

Need ur help!
Currently running the T4 custom bios that apparently should have removed power/temp limits.
Currently stuck at 2088MHz core and that´s it.. Riva Tuners OSD throws Limited Voltage and power warnings and downclocks to 2076MHz - I thought T4 removes those ? :s

Have ivé done something wrong ? Im using MSI afterburner to clock and tried custom freq curves without any success..
Tryed to re-install the drivers using DDU..

Ivé also tryed the Strix OC bios - that one crashes allmost instantly in Heaven Benchmark - don´t now why!

If you're trying to flashback to the stock BIOS, make sure you pick the correct vBIOS for your GPU. There are a few Strix GTX 1080 models.

Those bios files are for custom or extreme cooling, unless you are at a minimum water cooling your card you are likely to see no gain from using that bios as you will still see throttling due to heat

I get +70C with the T4 bios when running Firestrike, heaven benchmark and so on so there is no thermal issues!

I flashed my A8G 1080 with the normal O8G bios and i can get with that bios up to 2152mhz boost frequency and 11399mhz memory. with the T4 bios i dont got any frequency over 2ghz stable because the card heat to much. i suggest to use the normal A8G bios and then overclock it manually or use the O8G normal bios and not the t4 one. i get as temps max 71C with 2152mhz boost clock. here you see the boost clock. http://www.3dmark.com/fs/12129685 gpu is for the moment mounted on a provisory pc for the time i am waiting to recive case etc for use the gpu on my asus m8h 😮
